This Privacy Policy describes how SingleHunt, Inc. (“SingleHunt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and the Crosspath™ dating experience (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account data: phone number, date of birth, gender identity, sexual orientation, and any optional profile fields you choose to share (e.g., height, occupation, prompts).
  • Profile content: photos, videos, voice clips, biographies, and answers you submit to profile prompts.
  • Verification data: selfies and short videos used for identity and authenticity checks.
  • Communications: messages, reactions, and reports you send through the Service or to our support team.

Information collected automatically

  • Location data: with your permission, we collect precise (GPS-level) and approximate location to power the Crosspath™ feature to show you nearby members. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
  • Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, language, time zone, crash logs, and interactions within the app.
  • Cookies & similar technologies: on our websites we use cookies and local storage for sign-in, preferences, security, and analytics.

Information from third parties

  • SMS / verification providers who help us deliver one-time codes.
  • App stores for purchase confirmation and refund handling.
  • Service providers who support analytics, hosting, fraud prevention, and customer support.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Service, including matching, messaging, and the Crosspath™ feature;
  • Verify identity, prevent fraud, abuse, harassment, and unsafe behavior;
  • Personalize discovery and improve recommendations;
  • Send transactional notifications and important account alerts;
  • Conduct analytics, troubleshooting, security monitoring, and product research;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages to train third-party AI models.

3. Location & the Crosspath™ Feature

Crosspath™ is the heart of SingleHunt. With your explicit permission, we record where your device has been over a limited rolling window and compare it with other consenting members’ locations so we can show you real-world overlaps. Locations used for matching are stored in coarse hexagonal cells and are not shared with other users at street-level precision. You can pause, hide, or fully delete your Crosspath™ history at any time from in-app privacy settings.

4. How We Share Information

  • With other members: the profile information you choose to display, plus presence indicators consistent with your privacy settings.
  • With service providers: We do not share your information to any third-party. Users’ data is stored securely on our hosting provider.
  • For safety & legal reasons: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
  • In a corporate transaction: if SingleHunt is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we may transfer your information as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You can:

  • Edit or delete profile content at any time in the app;
  • Revoke location, camera, microphone, or contacts permissions in your device settings;
  • Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@singlehunt.com;
  • Delete your account from in-app settings.

Depending on where you live (e.g., California, the EU/UK, Brazil), you may have additional rights such as the right to object to processing, restrict processing, port your data, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We honor verifiable requests as required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms. Crosspath™ location trails follow a shorter rolling retention window described in-app. After deletion, residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time before being purged.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures (including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and audit logging) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique device passcode and to report security concerns to support@singlehunt.com.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. International Transfers

SingleHunt is headquartered in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.

10. Third-Party Services

Our Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, your device’s app store or a sign-in provider). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least seven (7) days before the changes take effect.
